Tips:
- Water damage to clothing and textiles can usually be safely restored after cleaning within an appropriate window of 48 hours. If you are not able to have your clothing collected and cleaned beforehand, we recommend hanging as many items as possible to let them adequately dry. Providing time to dry versus storing in a wet bag will reduce the possibility of mold forming on your items. More often than not, this simple step can save the majority of your items. Specialty items such as leather, suede, and fur will react differently but still benefit from hanging the item to dry. Do not place any specialty items including leather, suede, or fur in your dryer as it can cause permanent damage by the heat.
- Smoke and fire damage will leave a lingering smell on your products. Part of our process is to collect them and allow them to air out before using specialized cleaning agents to attempt to neutralize and remove the odor. The more time these items have to air out the better. If placing outdoors is an option then do so to help reduce the level of odor that remains trapped in the fabric.
- Remember that the safety of you, your family, and your pets is more important than any article of clothing. In the event of an emergency please evacuate your residence as soon as possible and do not worry about material items.
